We are pleased to announce that the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) has a new logo. Feedback from our members and the Committee showed that the old logo looked dated and that it was in need of a revamp. We listened to your comments and we have come up with a fresh, clean and crisp logo for the Association. The NADJ has spoken to some of our members about the logo and the consensus is that it is a big improvement on the old design. Early market research from prospective and current members showed that the new image was given the thumbs up. The previous logo has been in use since the NADJ was formed as a national organisation for DJs in 2004. Six years on and we were getting more calls for a revamp of the logo – we couldn’t ignore those remarks and we set about creating a new image for the organisation. |

Stolen Disco & Band Equipment |

The last thing a DJ wants to find is that their tools of the trade have been stolen and unfortunately that's what has happened to one of our members. James Pemblington of Northern Lights & Sound is appealing for help from both fellow NADJ members, the DJ community and the wider entertainment industry. He believes that on or around Saturday 21st August 2010, a trailer full of his equipment was stolen from Moorgreen Industrial Park in Eastwood, Nottingham. As well as holding his disco equipment, the trailer also had his drum kit and a vital Animal mascot from the Muppet Show. |

The Most Distrusted Professions |

A recent poll has shown which professions are the most distrusted and following on from the recent expenses scandal, Politicians are take the top spot. Fortunately, the research by the Co-operative Bank found that nobody in the entertainment industry was included in the top ten. Many DJs and entertainers have criticisms of their colleagues from whatever area of the market they work in, but it's good to see that DJs and entertainers are not featured on the list. However, is that just because we are only hired on a very infrequent basis or are DJs realising that they can take this industry seriously and make a living out of it? |
