Receive a £500 Host Bounty, earn £50 for every new Gold Member you introduce, plus NADJ Rewards points for helping grow the association.
Following more than a year of planning and consultation, the National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) is preparing to launch the pilot programme for its new regional Tea & Test Days.
The events are designed to provide practical support for working DJs, bringing together professional development, business advice, health and wellbeing, equipment testing and networking in an accessible regional format.
Rather than asking volunteers to organise an event from scratch, NADJ has developed an “event in a box” model.
What’s Included?
Each Tea & Test Day will feature a centrally organised programme that may include:
- PAT and Electrical Equipment Testing.
- Hearing health information.
- General health screening.
- Mental health and wellbeing sessions.
- Accounting and business advice.
- Search Engine Optimisation and digital marketing.
- Networking with fellow DJs.
The daytime programme will follow a consistent national format, ensuring every event delivers the same high standard wherever it is held.
Regional Hosts are then free to organise an optional evening social, meal or networking event to suit their local area.
Become a Regional Host
NADJ is now inviting members to register their interest in becoming Regional Hosts.
Hosts will simply:
- Source a suitable venue.
- Act as the local point of contact.
- Welcome delegates.
- Keep the event running to schedule.
- Liaise with the venue and speakers.
- Represent NADJ throughout the day.
Everything else—including branding, marketing, bookings, operational guidance and the core event content—will be provided centrally.
Rewarding Those Who Step Forward
Regional Hosts will receive:
- £500 Host Bounty for delivering the event.
- £50 commission for every new Gold Member who joins through their event or referral (subject to programme terms).
- NADJ Rewards points for hosting and supporting the association.
- The opportunity to help shape the future national rollout of Tea & Test Days.
The Tea & Test pilot has been designed to work hand in hand with the new NADJ Rewards programme, recognising members who contribute their time, knowledge and enthusiasm to strengthening the association.
Building for the Future
The pilot programme is expected to begin with a carefully managed schedule of regional events, with the emphasis placed firmly on quality rather than quantity.
NADJ intends to build the programme steadily, learning from each event before expanding further. While the long-term ambition is to establish a nationwide network of Tea & Test Days, the initial focus will be on delivering successful regional pilots that demonstrate the value of the concept.
Expressions of interest for Regional Hosts will open shortly, with the first pilot events expected to take place later this year.
