National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) Announces Restructuring of Local Branches
London, UK – 11/04/2024
The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) is pleased to announce changes aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of local branch operations. In response to evolving challenges and member feedback, NADJ is seeking to streamline its structure while better serving the needs of its members.
The restructuring involves transitioning from individual local committees to designated regional representatives. Under this model, each area will have a dedicated regional representative who will work closely with members and the National Executive Committee (NEC). This move aims to eliminate bureaucratic formalities and enhance communication between the national body and local branches.
In addition, NADJ proposes the creation of a new paid position on the NEC responsible for overseeing national and branch development. This role will involve reaching out to members, retailers, and suppliers, as well as managing blogs, organising show nights, and handling membership and social media tasks. By centralising these responsibilities, NADJ aims to ensure consistency and efficiency across all branches.
Benefits of the proposed central administration include standardised marketing efforts, better support for branch development initiatives, and guaranteed minimum attendance to suppliers and stakeholders at events.
To implement these changes, an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) was held and ratified by member vote. In due course, local committee-led branches will be stood down, and current chairman positions will transition to regional representatives on the NEC. Additionally, all branch funds will be surrendered to the national account for the benefit of all NADJ members.
NADJ invites members to provide feedback on these changes via the thread on the Pro Hub. Together, we can adapt to the evolving needs of our members and ensure the continued success of NADJ. Proposal for Restructuring Local Branches within the NADJ – Branch Development – NADJ Pro Forum
