The NADJ has launched a member consultation to explore a bold new direction—and we want your input.
We’re asking members to share their views on proposals that include:
- Registering NADJ as a Community Interest Company (CIC)
- Introducing a minimum annual membership fee of £100
- Employing a part-time staff member to support admin, social media, and day-to-day operations
This consultation addresses the long-standing challenge of relying on a small group of unpaid volunteers to keep the association running. We’re also consulting separately on the introduction of a new Business Membership Tier for full-time, growth-focused DJs.
This is not a final decision—it’s a starting point.
We’re inviting all members to take part by commenting directly in the consultation thread. Comments made elsewhere (e.g. social media or private messages) will not form part of the official consultation.

🗓️ Deadline for comments: Midnight, Monday 2 June 2025
Let’s work together to create a stronger, more sustainable NADJ—by DJs, for DJs.
Best Wishes,
Your NEC.
