Regional activity is returning to NADJ — but in a very different and far more sustainable format.
The old volunteer-led branch model struggled across the country, largely because it relied on committees trying to deliver everything without the support or resources needed. As NADJ transitions into a Community Interest Company (CiC), we now have the structure to do this properly.
The new plan is to deliver regional events similar to Monday’s Mixer in Kettering: larger, better-resourced, professionally structured events that offer real value and attract strong attendance. These will focus on training, networking, product demonstrations, panels, suppliers, and real development opportunities for DJs of every level.
To make this possible, NADJ will be recruiting paid regional representatives. Their role will be to build engagement locally, promote events in their area, and ensure we can consistently bring together 50 or more DJs per region. Once that level of engagement is in place, the national team will provide the rest — speakers, training content, supplier partnerships, event support and delivery.
This approach removes the heavy pressure from volunteers and replaces it with a reliable model that grows every region fairly. It ensures members can access high-quality, meaningful events without having to travel across the country.
Regional events are coming back — bigger, better, and built to last. Remember – this cost isn’t coming from your membership subs!
If you think that you have the time and commitment to be a regional rep that sits directly with us (NEC then Board) – drop us a message hello@nadj.org.uk
