WELCOME TO NADJ WALES!
The first meetings of the Wales Branch were held late in 2004 after founding member Mark Weller then NADJ National Marketing & PR Officer and Wales Coordinator invited over 300 DJs from addresses in the yellow pages and other directory’s to the initial meetings in Merthyr Tydfil.
Since formation in 2005, the NADJ Wales branch has continued to be one of the most active and well-attended in the country.
The motivation behind the formation was to provide a platform for pro DJ’s to network, something that continues to be the key advantages of participating now. It has allowed DJs to make friends with other like-minded entertainers.
We have seen vary many examples of where these relationships have not only increased work sharing but most importantly the advantage of the back up support in emergencies.
The branch meetings included a balance of educational material, presentations and workshops, plus equipment demonstrations from manufacturers and supporting retailer- Zelma with Principal Alan Thomas. From time to time the monthly meeting have featured members’ shows.
The branch enjoys an active social calendar including an annual family BBQ, New Year Dinner, and frequently- meals out plus buffet suppers at some meetings.
The Wales Branch now meets at The BBC Social Club at the BBC Cymru Wales HQ in Llandaff Cardiff on the second Tuesday of each month, with occasional meetings at alternative locations across the principality.
