The National Association of Disc Jockeys (NADJ) is the UK’s professional association for DJs. Whether you perform at weddings, private events, clubs, bars, festivals, corporate events or across the wider entertainment industry, NADJ exists to support your professional journey.

Membership is about much more than insurance. NADJ provides professional representation, industry recognition, networking, education, professional development, business support and access to a growing national community.

Our aim is simple: to strengthen the DJ profession, create opportunities for our members and give DJs a stronger collective voice within the wider events and entertainment industries.

Every member belongs to the same NADJ community. Membership levels primarily determine insurance protection, professional visibility and commercial discounts — not your ability to participate.

Insurance & Professional Protection

Insurance remains an important part of NADJ membership, providing professional protection alongside the wider benefits of belonging to the association.

Insurance benefits remain subject to eligibility, insurer terms, policy wording, limits and exclusions.

A Fairer Membership Model

All NADJ members are part of the same professional community. Membership levels do not gatekeep participation.

All members receive access to the Hub, App, Radio, Magazine, networking opportunities, professional development resources, member verification and industry representation.

The main differences between membership levels are insurance protection, professional visibility and commercial discounts. Every member is equally part of NADJ.

NADJ Rewards

Membership should reward participation. NADJ Rewards recognises members who engage with the association, develop their skills and contribute to the wider DJ community.

Reward values, qualifying activities and redemption options may evolve as the NADJ Rewards programme develops.

Loyalty & Long-Service Recognition

NADJ recognises members who remain part of the association over the long term. Loyalty status is based on years of membership — not how much money a member spends. The loyalty clock starts when you first join NADJ, regardless of membership level.

Long-serving members may receive renewal bonuses, additional reward points, priority access to selected opportunities, exclusive offers and long-service recognition.

Professional Members: 10% Discount  |  Gold Members: 20% Discount

Discounts apply to the chargeable services listed above. They do not apply to NADJ membership fees.

20% of revenue from applicable NADJ Media Ltd services is donated to NADJ CIC to support education, outreach, professional development and future member services.

Sustainable Membership Pricing

NADJ membership fees remained largely unchanged for approximately 15 years. During that period, insurance premiums, technology costs, administration, operating costs and inflation increased significantly.

Membership fees will therefore be reviewed annually to help ensure NADJ remains financially sustainable and able to continue investing in representation, education, technology and member services.

Future adjustments may reflect inflation, insurance premiums and operating costs. Members will be advised before changes take effect.

Membership, Renewals & Cancellation

Annual Membership: NADJ membership is an annual membership product. Standard is paid annually in full. Professional and Gold are paid by monthly instalments that spread the cost of the same annual membership.

Automatic Renewal: Membership normally renews automatically to maintain uninterrupted access to member services and applicable insurance benefits. Members who do not wish to renew should cancel their membership through the membership system.

14-Day Renewal Grace Period: We understand that members occasionally forget an upcoming renewal. Members who contact NADJ within 14 days following renewal will normally have their circumstances considered sympathetically. Refunds may be granted where appropriate, particularly where membership benefits have not been substantially used.

Cancelling Payments: Cancelling a Direct Debit, recurring card payment or other payment instruction does not itself notify NADJ that membership should be cancelled. Members should actively cancel their membership through the membership system or contact NADJ.

Overdue Accounts: Where membership instalments become overdue, membership benefits may be temporarily suspended while the account is resolved. NADJ will normally seek to resolve payment issues constructively with the member.

Membership remains subject to the NADJ Membership Agreement, Code of Conduct, Constitution and applicable insurance terms.

Member Support

NADJ uses digital self-service systems and an AI-powered first-line support service to provide fast access to routine membership administration.

Members can use the member portal and support systems for account management, membership verification, directory management, documentation and insurance certificates where applicable.

Using self-service technology for routine administration allows more of NADJ’s resources to be invested in representation, education, professional development, events, community programmes and improved member services.

Safeguarding concerns, complaints, disputes, accessibility matters, technical faults and issues that cannot reasonably be resolved through automated systems will continue to be handled by an appropriate member of the NADJ team.
