We are writing to formally confirm that the application to incorporate the National Association of Disc Jockeys as a Community Interest Company (CIC) has now been submitted. This marks the start of the formal transition period, undertaken in accordance with the member vote held in November 2025, which represented the culmination of a three-year programme of consultation, discussion, and member engagement.
The transition to a CIC provides a modern, proportionate, and legally robust framework that enables NADJ to operate effectively as a national membership body, protect member interests, and deliver services in a sustainable and transparent way. This step reflects the direction already agreed by members and is intended to ensure continuity, stability, and long-term viability.
Further information will be issued within the next 21 days, including:
-
the updated constitution and governance framework,
-
the revised Code of Conduct,
-
and details of the updated membership structure and tiers.
During this transition period, all members are asked to note the following with immediate effect:
Any local or regional branches that continue to exist in name only are instructed to close any NADJ-related bank accounts and surrender all remaining funds to the national NADJ bank account. These funds form part of the collective assets of the Association and must now be held centrally.
In addition, the use of the NADJ / National Association of Disc Jockeys name is withdrawn from any local or informal groups. The name, branding, and any implied authority may no longer be used without explicit national approval.
Thank you for your continued support during this important transition. Further updates will follow shortly.
