So why the change?
“After our last website refresh in 2017, it was clear that there were a number of problems that needed addressing and unfortunately these were not able to be resolved as quickly as we would’ve liked. Our website was, unfortunately, our weakest link,” says NADJ Chairman, Pete Hawkins. “Luckily for us, NADJ member, Ian Forest, got his laptop out and squirrelled away into the early hours for many months and developed a new site that works and one that we believe our members and branches will love!”
Ian Forest, our new Webmaster says “The new site, like the previous one, is built using WordPress, a platform that is rumoured to power almost 20% the internet. It’s a stable foundation for a fantastic resource and i’m really proud to bring it to the NADJ and its Members.”
NADJ Members can now enjoy a reliable resource with the ability to manage their membership, make payments and personalise their directory profile with images, services offered, and social links all in one place. Furthermore, with GDPR in mind, we have a number of privacy controls so you can decide exactly what information is shown to the general public. You don’t want your home address or phone number on display? Not a problem, you can easily exclude that information from the directory with the flick of a switch.
That’s not all, the membership system also ties in with our events calendar so you can register for events and branch meetings, and for NADJ Pro members, you can even view your PLI certificate online!
This really is a major step forward for the NADJ and we’d love to get your feedback so feel free to contact us, call us on 0203 002 0866 or you can email us directly if you prefer at hello@nadj.org.uk.
