Yesterday, I spent a great day networking with industry colleagues in the New Forest for the first ever Promobile Retreat.
Running in place of the ProMobile Conference this year, Promobile Retreat was designed to offer a stripped backed networking and learning event for DJs.
It was great to see so many DJs in attendance and the seminars, as always, were to a very high standard and certainly got my creative juices flowing.
Often it is said by some ‘what is the point’ when it comes to these types of events. In my personal opinion there are a great many ‘points’ to attending. Networking and seminars aside, just being in a room of like-minded professionals is great for re-charging those ‘batteries’ and boosting ones own motivation. Like most things, it is better in person!
Admittedly I am somewhat ‘gutted’ to have missed the Sunday evening, but there was plenty of value in attending the Monday daytime.
Hats off to Pete and Steve on another superb event. I am super-excited to see how this event and Promobile conference evolve as personally I see merits in both formats and I will continue to support whichever format(s) they pursue.
