AlphaTheta Introduces the CDJ-1500X Multi Player
AlphaTheta has introduced the CDJ-1500X, a new DJ multi player designed to bring a number of flagship-style features into a more compact format.
Taking inspiration from the CDJ-3000X, the CDJ-1500X appears to be aimed at venues and DJs who want professional performance and modern workflow features, but in a smaller, more space-conscious setup. This makes it a potentially strong option for bars, smaller clubs, installation booths and high-end home DJ systems.
One of the headline features is the 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, offering clear browsing and the ability to display up to 15 tracks at once. For DJs working quickly across playlists, crates and requests, that additional visibility could make a real difference in live situations.
The unit also introduces a Beat Loop knob, allowing DJs to trigger instant loop playback at a chosen beat length with a single push. Cloud connectivity is another key part of the design, moving beyond traditional USB-only workflows and allowing access to music libraries and supported streaming services.
A particularly interesting development is CoBeat, a new audience interaction service that allows greater communication between DJs and the dancefloor.
The CDJ-1500X also adds a degree of personalisation, with an illuminated bay offering 12 LED colour options and optional side panels for custom setups.
The CDJ-1500X looks set to offer a compact route into AlphaTheta’s latest player ecosystem, particularly for venues and DJs who want modern browsing, cloud access and performance features without stepping up to a full flagship installation.
At the time of writing, full UK pricing, availability and final market specifications have not yet been confirmed. NADJ will update members as further details are released.
